Shane Scully
is an LAPD detective with rugged features and a rugged past. He grew up in foster homes as a kid and battled alcoholism in early adulthood. But he always survived by relying on his instincts, which also make him a good cop. Shane has been known to bend the rules to catch criminals, which drives his boss (and wife) Alexa up the wall. He and Alexa are the proud parents of Chooch, Shane’s collegiate son from a previous relationship.
Everything was going fine until Shane was charged with case tampering and blackmail; he was also accused of having an affair with a suspect. Alexa kicked him out of the house and Chooch stopped speaking to him. Shane copped a deal, plead guilty to a misdemeanor and resigned from the LAPD. With his soiled record, police work hard was hard to find until the corrupt Haven Park police department hired him... but has Shane gone from the frying pan into the fire?
